Rotlewi–Rubinstein 1907 — King Attack Combination

Objective: Black to move. Find the combination that breaks through White's king defence and leads to a decisive attack.

Position and task condition

One of Akiba Rubinstein's most famous combinations. White has just weakened the king with g3, but at first glance the position still appears to hold thanks to active defenders. Black must find a concrete way to break through. Calculate several moves ahead and focus on the coordination of the rooks, bishops and queen.
